Rapid Prototyping - Spotify & YouTube Desktop Redesign
This project was completed within a four-week timeframe. During this period, I gained valuable experience in the processes of prototyping, review, and refinement. I developed medium-fidelity prototypes, which were subsequently evaluated through peer reviews and feedback sessions. My focus was on designing the core 20% of functionality that is utilized 80% of the time, specifically for the two primary desktop screens of YouTube and Spotify.

Spotify Research
I began by conducting an initial analysis of the two existing screen interfaces. Following this, I carried out user testing and interviews with a diverse group of users. I thoroughly analyzed the feedback received and incorporated it into the final design.

Spotify Final Design
This is the finalized design for Spotify. Although the user interface deviates from the current brand guidelines, it significantly enhances spatial efficiency. Key improvements include the ability to minimize both the playlist and friends sections, the integration of a persistent side queue, and the addition of closed captioning to support accessibility.
Spotify Before and After
A comparative analysis of the old and new designs reveals that the updated design is visually more appealing and makes more efficient use of interface space. Additionally, it enhances the visibility and customization of Spotify's features.​

YouTube Final Design
The final redesign of YouTube addresses all previously identified issues. It features streamlined navigation, eliminates the extensive scrolling experience, and simplifies the overall design for enhanced usability.​
YouTube Before and After
When comparing the new UI to the current design, it is evident that the updated version offers more intuitive navigation. Additionally, it accommodates a greater volume of content on the page. The redesigned YouTuber page also provides enhanced customization options, allowing users to personalize their page with a banner and display background.​
